VR Oulu is about the experience and the people you share it with. Whether you come with friends, family, or colleagues, the focus is on laughing together, and cheering each other on. The games are the excuse. The fun is in the company.

You can wear glasses while using a VR headset. Both our owners wear glasses! Most glasses will fit under the headset comfortably. If your glasses are large we suggest wearing contact lenses to guarantee a nice experience! Regardless of if you are farsighted or shortsighted you will still need your glasses even though the screens are technically close to you. Strange isn't it?

Minimum age 10 years old due to the VR headset manufacturers terms of service. We would lower it if we could. Anyone under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult.

Yes you can! We allow up to two people to share one headset.

We do not currently accept cancellations.

Some people are concerned about feeling dizzy or queasy in VR but we often find this is from people who have never tried VR. Or tried it with an inexperienced VR centre. Even if you have felt queasy in VR before there are things which can be done to mitigate it. Choosing games which involve less movement is one great way to enjoy VR without the nausea. We can also add a feature where the vision changes to more like a tunnel when you move rapidly (this is called vignetting) and is very effective at reducing motion sickness. Definitely don't let this hold you back from trying VR and please talk to us during your VR experience with us if you aren't comfortable.
